The Pivot Move is a consulting and coaching practice founded by Serena Barberis. It builds on more than fifteen years of professional experience in complex, multicultural and high-responsibility environments, combined with training in Italy and abroad, including an MBA, an Executive Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility, the European Coaching and NLP Program, and a degree in International and Diplomatic Studies with a specialization in developing countries economies.
Originally from Serra di Quattordio, a small village in the Monferrato hills in the province of Alessandria, after a 15-year career in the international humanitarian sector that allowed her to live and work in more than 15 countries — including DR Congo, Kenya, Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Bangladesh and the Philippines — holding leadership roles and managing organizations and teams in highly complex and volatile environments, Serena chose to bring the skills developed in the field into the corporate world and into coaching, turning them into a distinctive value for organizations and individuals.
Her roots and her experience now allow Serena to understand and support with the same effectiveness businesses rooted in the local territory, small and medium-sized family enterprises, growing organizations, multinational and multicultural contexts, and people from every social background.
From her operational base in Alessandria, Serena now brings to companies and individuals an approach combining professional rigor, systemic thinking and attention to the human dimension of change, supporting organizational and personal evolution towards sustainable outcomes over time.
